Ocean Shores...from August

For some reason only half of the pictures from our August trip downloaded and obviously I haven't gotten around to attempting a second download, so for now here are a few of the pictures from our amazingly relaxing family vacation!

We didn't let a little rain & fog stop Parker from wading in the ocean for the first time.

Brian & Parker getting chased by the waves
Running from the waves
Cold but loved every minute of it!

The beautiful house we stayed at had a refrigerator drawer labeled "for deer" and a bag of deer food in the garage!
"Spike" came around several times a day for his feedings
Bedding down in the neighbor's yard

Dr. Parker to the rescue

Yesterday, Parker decided I needed to wear his wooden shape sorting box as a hat. He hit me so hard I saw stars. After a few minutes I was able to wipe my eyes and tell him he hurt me and needed to be more gentle. With a very concerned look he kissed my owies and determined I needed “ice! ice!” Then he ran around the living room collecting his thawed out teething rings (when he is sick or teething he asks for his frozen teethers) and placed them on my head! Dr. Parker fixed me up good as new!

Kids are so literal

Asked Parker to finish chewing and wait to talk until his mouth wasn't full. He grabbed my hand, flipped it palm side up and proceeded to spit out every bite of carrot into my hand, so he could tell me we have 2 dogs.
Maybe talking with your mouth full isn't so bad.

Olympic Bound

Brian: Parker, are you going to be in the Olympics some day?
Parker: Yeah!
Brian: What sport?
Parker: Um, ball.
